University of Guelph – MacNaughton Building

The MacNaughton Building (West Wing) is an original 1969 laboratory and office building that supports research and innovation within the Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics Departments, including a number of high profile research labs.

MML worked with its prime partners, Buttcon Limited (General Contractor) and Architects/Engineers (MSA/MSE), to design and develop a custom solution for the client to meet its budget and time constraints.

MML was retained as the prime mechanical contractor for this large, fast-tracked Design-Build Building Renovation for the University of Guelph.

MML scope included the complete replacement of all new piping, ductwork, fume hoods and cabinets, Building Automation Systems including laboratory exhaust systems for the entire West Wing, under a strict time frame working extended hours to meet schedule requirements.
