About this Project

Pan Am Soccer Stadium

The Pan Am Soccer Stadium (now recognized as Tim Horton’s Field) was the City of Hamilton’s response to hosting of the Pan Am Soccer Games. This multipurpose stadium is constructed to comply with CFL and FIFA regulations and can be used to host all manner of events, eliminating the need for multiple stadiums for specific sports. Following the Pan Am Games it is now the proud home of the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Mattina Mechanical Limited (MML) was the sole mechanical contractor on this LEED Silver certified Ontario Sports Solutions project. MML provided the Plumbing and Heating scope on a Design Assist basis for the renovation of the existing Ivor Wynne Stadium. This included the development of a new south grand stand, new field of play facing north-south and support site development, including such amenities as luxury suites, club seats, concessions, washrooms and 24,000 seats.
